Hi Michal - you are a wizard :). installed in tex4ht; will install in tex live after we unfreeze there.

it looks like the new output files are
tex4ht.dir/texmf/tex4ht/ht-fonts/alias/ec/eccc.htf
tex4ht.dir/texmf/tex4ht/ht-fonts/unicode/ec/eccc-uni.ht

does that sound right? (and no existing files were changed)

thanks so much, as ever.

Thjid is a patch for tex4ht-fonts-noncjk.tex for eccc font. I tested some other fonts (lmodern, tgschola) and it seems that they work correctly, so we don't have to update their configurations.

I'm afraid htfgen seems way over my head …

This is related to this thread:

http://tug.org/pipermail/tex4ht/2014q3/001043.html

I suspect we haven't made a patch. The problem is also related to known problem with .htf files, which often contains wrong characters. Correct .htf files could be hopefully created with htfgen:

Consider the following MWE:

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage[style=german, german=swiss,autostyle=true]{csquotes}
\MakeBlockQuote{<}{|}{>}

\begin{document}
\textsc{Test}
<Hallo>
\textsc{Hallo}
\end{document}

When running `mk4ht oolatex`, \textsc isn't rendered as small-caps but as all UPPERCASE. If I comment '\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}` out, \textsc is rendered correctly, but the guillemets of csquotes don't work anymore.
