I think this issue is already solved.

Thank you, Radhakrishnan, great, almost there !

Sectioned bibliography does work, although the formatting of the bibliography is a bit scrambled (no line breaks), as well as the first heading after the bibliography (compare mn.pdf and mn.odt in new tar).

I included the bib file as well, sorry for the omission.

The error is caused by the introduction of an unwanted para element in XML at the end of bibliography, the culprit seems to be bibtopic.sty. This can be circumvent by adding the following line after \begin{document}

\ConfigureEnv{btUnit}{}{}{}{}

If this works OK in your setup, we will revise bibtopic.4ht and release a new version.

Bibliography data (/home/jos/Bib/jos.bib) is not provided. Can you please submit this too?

I use tex4ht to create ooffice documents from my lyx (version 1.6.5) documents. The command, apparently, is

htlatex $$i 'xhtml,ooffice' 'ooffice/! -cmozhtf' '-coo' '-cvalidate'

with extra flag

needaux

The resulting file is not readable by openoffice (v3.2.1) due to an error in content.xml (cf mn.odt in the attached tar). I can, with some simple editing of content.xml, produce something that is readable by ooffice (cf mn_repaired.odt), but it's not exactly what I want (cf mn.pdf).

The bug-part of this message is that tex4ht produces a corrupted ooffice file ; the other part is that I don't know if and how sectioned bibliographies are supported ; I could not find any hint.

attached : lyx, tex, corrupted odt, "repaired" odt, and example pdf.
