This program is so simple, that I believed no further development would ever be needed. In fact, since its inception in 1999 it underwent only some minor modifications and I quite happily used it since then. However, recently I discovered that I need it to print the content of the /etc/issues prior to its password prompt. So I implemented this and a couple of other improvements and that's what version 2.0 is.
