There is an updated fix, as was issued in discussion in linked question, my patch would still fail for Biblatex ver. < 3.00, because \ifnum doesn't like decimal points. So we should define \blx:ver:no to be integer, like just `2`. Fixed patch is attached.

biblatex got update and it broke again, as reported on TeX.sx [1]. Fix was easy in this case, only version checking conditional has to be changed. Path for literate sources is attached
