Hi,

the following MCE shows that a spurious:

is added by tex4ht when using tabulars from ctable package:

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{ctable}
\begin{document}
\ctable{c}{}{foo}
\end{document}

This span leads to a spurious vertical rule in the generated html file (removing the span removes the rule).
