Dear Brooks Moses, I use listings package and occasionally use multicols option. It works great, except the caption placement: it also appear inside the column. Is it possible to put caption outside the multicol environment so that caption appears at the top or bottom and horizontally centered as normally? It seems simple, but when I looked at lstpatch.sty (as distributed by Debian project), I found that it is beyond my understanding, sigh.
