This and earlier releases of ‘hostproc’ are available for download from https://download.gnu.org.ua/release/hostproc/. Each tarball in this directory is accompanied by a GPG signature file (same name, but with ‘.sig’ suffix) that can be used to verify that the corresponding tarball is intact. To do so, first be sure that you have the author’s public key. If not, obtain it by running the following command:
gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 3602B07F55D0C732
Then download both the tarball and its ‘.sig’, e.g. hostproc-0.3.tar.gz and hostproc-0.3.tar.gz.sig. Finally, run a command like this:
gpg --verify hostproc-0.3.tar.gz.sig
