12. A universal socket-map program for MeTA1.

Smap implements a general-purpose configurable socket map for MeTA1. Socket maps are a unique feature of MeTA1 that makes it easily extendable. They allow to easily implement new storages for such data as user or alias lists, relay tables etc. The protocol format for socket maps is explained in MeTA1 Socket Maps. For instructions on how to configure MeTA1 to use new socket maps, see Declaring Maps for SMAR.
