D.5 Operational Notation

Operational notation is a practice of invoking functions of single argument without parentheses around their argument, e.g.:

 
 hostname %x

instead of:

 
 hostname(%x)

This practice was commonly used in early versions of MFL. Now it is deprecated. The version 6.0 is the last version that supports it.
