This package provides a simulator and assembler for the MIX computer as described in "The Art of Computer Programming", Volume 1 by Donald E. Knuth.
Both simulator and assembler are written in CWEB, a literal programming language, invented by Dr.Knuth.
The package was initially written by Douglas Laing.

After a long wait period, the version 2.0 of MIX (a.k.a Plain MIX), is available for download from ftp://download.gnu.org.ua/pub/relea.... This is a major release of the project, containing lots of improvements. In particular, it offers much more effective and convenient debugger.
