IdEst is a command line utility for manipulating ID3 tags, metadata . containers which supply related information for MP3 audio files, such as the title, artist, album, track number, etc.
The idest utility allows to create new tags, and to view, modify or delete the existing ones. When compiled with Guile, IdEst allows one to write programs of arbitrary complexity for manipulating ID3 tags and to apply them to any number of files.

Version 1.2 is available for download. This version improves compatibility with Guile, in particular it compiles with Guile v.2.0, and fixes several bugs.

Version 1.1 is available for download. It fixes a bug found in the previous release, that caused the program to dead loop when encountering multiple comment frames.
