file #271 listings.4ht fixes the problem! Most excellent and prompt work, much appreciated!

The following code results in the loss of all line breaks <br> after the mathescape:

\begin{lstlisting}[language=C, mathescape]
#include <stdio.h>

int main()
{
return 0; // $x$
}
\end{lstlisting}

The output is correct once the math escape is removed. Regular latex does render the code correctly.

Any bug fix or ways to get around this problem is much appreciated!
