Tue Feb 2 19:32:49 2016, comment #2: yes, maybe the char images could be generated at higher resolution and text characters can be saved as images with slimer.js or other headless browser. so this could be doable, I think. Mon Feb 1 23:11:36 2016, comment #1: thanks, installed in tex4ht and tl. maybe some kind of image comparison program could avoid some of the manual validation? if each char can be dumped to an individual image. i could send you some tips i received one for doing comparisons with imagemagick if you like. Mon Feb 1 12:54:30 2016, original submission: In researching problem in this question on TeX.sx [1], I've found that `mcode.sty` package (which isn't on CTAN) switches to PCR family for code listings and it seems that there are some wrong characters (besided `^` there are some more). I've generated new HTF file using htfgen, patches for literate sources are attached. PS: I've found Demiasta's font test code [2] really useful for testing HTF files, it might be interesting to run this test on all supported fonts.
